I would like to propose a new system of governance, where instead of uneducated, incapable, corrupt politicians running the government, professional people who are talented in formulating policies and executing them with perfection take leadership positions. This is not an autocratic form of governance, where some people lead without being questioned by others, not upholding the spirit of Democracy.
Flaws in Traditional System of Governance
It is general practice in India and mostly across the world, where people throng in groups to express their support for a Political Party. Or else, political parties gather people to establish their strength in a constituency. This method has been practiced in India for a long time. It was necessary in earlier days because media and communication channels were very limited in those times and for a party to declare its policies and propaganda, it has to conduct such mass gatherings. Nowadays, the story is totally different. People who come to such gatherings have no knowledge at all of governance, just like their present leaders. They just come to eat food and snore while their leaders talk about some stupid non-existent achievements. Also, they are paid to come to such meetings, which is the root cause of corruption. Who will pay for them? Young and honest parties cannot meet such expenses and the beginning of good governance stops there itself.
Professional Politics, handled by Professionals
Now, I will introduce my new System of Governance, Professional Politics. Professional Politics is based on the principle that people who are well-educated and capable of providing innovative solutions to the problems governments face come forward and take charge as Ministers and Members of Parliament. These people will not be appointed ad-hoc by the Prime Minister but will be elected by the people through the democratic process. These Professionals can be held responsible for any immoral activities like corruption or nepotism, just like the earlier times.
Media and Internet Forums: The Pillars of Professional Politics
Now, we will enter the topic of Professional Politics. Television Channels and Political Internet Forums will be the backbone of this proposed System of Governance. Political Internet Forums will be established by each party, where educated people who are Professionals will contribute their ideas and solutions to the problems faced by the country. These Professionals will be knowledgeable in their own fields like Medicine, Information Technology, and Businesses of all kinds to mention a very few. These people know more about their fields than any minister or their PAs, who collect bribes on behalf of these corrupt and useless ministers. These Professionals should spend time in the Internet Forums when they find free time like half an hour a day or even an hour on Sundays. This is not some philanthropic activity, but it is for their own benefit. Because if governance in their field is good, they are going to enjoy the fruits of it.
Political Internet Forums
There are two types of Internet Forums. Political and Government. If a Professional wants to enter Politics and become a Minister or a Member of Parliament, He should write his ideas of development on Political Forums. Responsible and Knowledgeable Political leaders in the Party should take the lead positions and engage with these people. They should appoint Forum Leaders, based on the popularity of their ideas in the forums and their own instincts. These Forum Leaders will be the ministerial candidates, who will administer their particular field in the forum and engage with the Professionals who write their ideas on the Forum. These Forum Leaders will in turn appoint candidates to contest for Members of the Legislative Assembly [MLA] in State Governments for their respective parties.
National Parties have more sophisticated leaders who already have able and knowledgeable leaders to lead this forum. Since National Parties run the Nation, they usually have some capable ministers, especially in the Finance Ministry. They will appoint Forum Leaders, who will contest for Central Ministers, and they will in turn appoint candidates for contesting Members of Parliament [MP]. The point here is they will be chosen from this forum, entirely based on their contribution of ideas and innovative solutions in this Forum. It is for the Whole Country to see who the candidates are and what ideas they contributed, as all Indian Citizens can view the Forum.
Government Internet Forums
This forum is for people who don't want to enter politics but still like to work towards nation-building. These forums will be managed by IAS Officers. Indian Administrative Service Officers can even pose questions in the Forums on how to solve a problem they face. They will appoint Forum Leaders in each and every field, based on the quality and popularity of their ideas. Senior IAS Officers will recruit members for the State and Central Government Planning Commission from this Forum. It will be transparent to the entire nation, who got hired and for what reason from the Website. Because their Ideas and Appointments can be viewed by any Indian Citizen in the Government Internet Forums.
Incremental Idea Generation
Ideas can be entirely revolutionary or even incremental. You can contribute any ideas that will be helpful to the nation. You may never know what idea will change the entire nation. So, as a responsible Indian Citizen, for the nation, that includes you, contribute something to the forum. Your job and business are important too. Because ultimately that is what we want to prosper with the help of this forum. But contribute some time, you may find convenient for you in nation-building as well. I hope you discuss my ideas in these forums too and correct them or make them better for the well-being of our world.
Government Awards
Recognition is important for any work. Your ideas will be duly recognized. Forums will have a profile of you with your picture and your details. And if someone copies your ideas, there will be a timestamp on when you posted. Generally, members of a collaborative idea will all be recognized and that's how incremental idea works. If you contribute well, you will be made a Star Contributing Member in the Forum, links of which you can post on Professional Websites like LinkedIn, which will fetch you lucrative jobs with good salaries in the Job Market. If you post an idea that makes a huge impact on how the Government department works, you will be given the highest recognition from the country, from the hands of the President. Economic Benefits for a Contributor
Salary is important for any person. Even for me. Fair pay is all we want. If you are elected to be a Member of Parliament or in the Legislative Assembly, the Government gives lakhs of salary per month with a whole lot of allowances. This is a lucrative salary even for a Product Manager in a Multi-National Company. Short stints in Politics are also welcome if you want to pursue your interests somewhere else later. Participating in a Political Party does not involve contributing money anymore. Just write your ideas in the forum. Political Forum expenses will be met by advertisers, which is lucrative for them because it is where people who are movers and shakers in the country come together. This is a form of Governance that is constructive and corrupt-free. No one needs money to run a party. If any party goes back to the same old practice of herding [ what we call in Tamil, Gumba Koodi Gummi Adikarathu], don't trust the party and don't cast your vote for them.
The Planning Commission also gives a lucrative salary for their members. But they should have a qualified degree in their respective field along with good ideas in forum, to become a Planning Commission Member.
Political Television Channels
Political Television Channels nowadays are only blowing the horns of some worthless people. Forget about earlier times. I recommend all Political Parties to have a Political Television Channel. We need this because we need to explain to the people, the ideas professionals generated in Internet Forums. We should explain those ideas in Simple Terms and in their local language in countries like India, where there are multiple languages so that everyone knows about a party's positions and its ideas for better governance. Also, People may not have the patience to read the whole forum to understand the progress. So, a dedicated team of journalists working in a political party's channel should examine all the ideas being proposed in the forum. Understand each of them and explore the possibilities of their applications and the impact they will have on society and governance. Then, they will explain in simpler terms to the public regarding the ideas. Political leaders and Forum Leaders should always communicate with people in a daily manner in these Channels, regarding these policies and their stance on them. When we discuss an idea in these Channels, it is a must to recognize each of them, who generated these ideas. This will not only encourage people who already contributed but also will in turn motivate new members to join the forum and contribute their ideas.
Conclusion
So, I know about Politics that is happening in India. The world may not be aware of it. Because the ruling party makes up stories, and the media is also being controlled. Instead of going deep into that. I want people to tell this important news. Vote for talented people. I have a list of people that I know who are my favorites because of their credibility. Though the BJP is not a party I favor, I still think Annamalai of BJP will make a good Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, for his intelligence and capability. Anbumani Ramdoss will make a good Opposition Party in Tamil Nadu, for his responsible politics, always standing for the right issues, and not being bothered about winning or losing an election. Rahul Gandhi is a compassionate person, armed with capable Central Ministers, He will be a good choice for the Prime Minister of India. All these young people will be an inspiration for Vibrant and Happening India, where youth are coming forward and taking responsible positions and showing remarkable results. Thank You. Jai Hind.
